Hundred Hills, Preamble No.2 2019

Nestled in the chalk-rich slopes of the Stonor Valley, Hundred Hills is a boutique English sparkling wine estate dedicated to crafting vintage-only wines that reflect the unique character of each growing season. With a commitment to sustainability, the Ducketts have cultivated their 17-hectare vineyard without herbicides, focusing on low-yielding Pinot Noir and Chardonnay clones that thrive in the English climate. The 2019 vintage of Preamble No.2 offers a vibrant expression of English terroir. Made from a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay; the grapes were harvested before spending 36 months in oak. On the nose, it presents aromas of ripe lime zest and passionfruit, leading to a palate brimming with yellow apple, nectarine, and pineapple. The extended lees ageing imparts subtle notes of vanilla and honey, culminating in a long, elegantly creamy finish.
